On March 29 2016, the Annual Emergency Fire Exercise took place at OFC with the participation of all responding parties i.e. Athens International Airport (AIA), AIA Fire Department, HCAA, AIA

Police Department, and AIA EKAV as per the detailed scenario that was jointly elaborated by the above mentioned bodies and was written by AIA. The exercise was also attended by the airport

community representatives and state authorities.

This year's exercise scenario involved explosio followed by fire ignition of Fuel Tank No. 3 (with fuel leakage in the Tanks basin) during JET A-1 delivery via Pipeline and the injury of one OFC employee in the perimeter of Tanks 1 and 3. At the end of the exercise there was a short valuation discussion and the overall result was very satisfactory.
