Following the recent JIG international inspection at OFC's facilities the JIG Inspector assessed the overall standard as 'excellent'.

According to Jig only locations with a very high standard of operation are rated as 'excellent', the majority of joint ventures being assessed as either 'good' or 'satisfactory'.

The Inspector, Mr. Kenneth Sjödahl – Shell Aviation wrote:

'The operation of the OFC facility is considered Excellent.

Staff met during the visit were all well trained and demonstrated commitment to HSE (Health, Safety and the Environment), and performed all checks & tests witnessed with no deviation from laid down procedures. All samples taken were clear & bright, free from solid matters and Shell Water Detector negative.

The result of this inspection confirms that OFC continue to perform at a very high level (World class). The status of implementation of the HSEQ (Health, Safety Environment and Quality) management system is impressive.'

JIG (Joint Inspection Group) consists of the major International Oil Companies (ENI, BP, Chevron, ExxonMobil, Kuwait Petroleum, Shell, Statoil and Total). The scope of this organization is to provide internationally agreed procedures for handling aviation fuel at airports and upstream aviation fuel facilities in order to promote safety, quality control and efficiency. JIG performs regular inspections to ensure that the above mentioned facilities are constructed and operated in accordance with its procedures.
